Eplerenone in Patients with Systolic Heart Failure and Mild Symptoms
Objectives
- Eplerenone, as compared with placebo, reduced both the risk of death and the risk of hospitalization among patients with systolic heart failure and mild symptoms.
- The aim of our Eplerenone in Mild Patients Hospitalization and Survival Study in Heart Failure (EMPHASIS-HF) was to investigate the effects of eplerenone, added to evidence-based therapy, on clinical outcomes in patients with systolic heart failure and mild symptoms .
