Description
The training is a Colorectal Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meeting focused on the case-based discussion of complex colorectal malignancies.
Objectives
Enhance multidisciplinary decision-making in the diagnosis and management of colorectal cancers. Improve understanding of disease presentation and staging, including interpretation of imaging, histopathology, and molecular testing. Discuss optimal treatment strategies, such as the timing of surgery, neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy, and the role of total neoadjuvant therapy (TNT) and radiotherapy. Evaluate prognosis and outcomes for different colorectal cancer subtypes, including mucinous adenocarcinoma. Standardize patient-centered care pathways by aligning management plans with current clinical guidelines and MDT consensus. Identify clinical knowledge gaps and key discussion points to inform ongoing professional development and future MDT learning sessions.
