He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and holds EHRA as well as IBHRE Certification in both Invasive Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices.

He is also the Clinical Head of the Division of Cardiology at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH), Johannesburg, South Africa. He is an executive member of the Heart Failure Society of South Africa (HEFSSA), a founding and Executive member of the South African Clinician Scientists Society, Director of the CMJAH & Wits World Heart Day Awareness Campaign.
